Big sports fan and have Cowboys season Tickets. Had Stars, Mavs, and Rangers season tickets in past.
Moved to Montreal Canada at age 6 in 1983 and grew up there. So I played ice hockey growing up ever since I was 8 until the age of 16 when I moved to grand prairie in 1991 and started my sophomore year at south Grand Prairie. Kept a 4.0 GPA till my senior year.
Graduated in 1995 and went to Mountain View JR college for a semester and then UTA for a year until I started at the sheriffs Dept.
Kept playing hockey on and off again since moving here at the Dr Pepper star center. Was playing roller hockey at first. They started getting ice rinks only after the stars moved here in 1991. I played goalie and I was real good when I was 16. We won the championship my last year playing in Canada. I was the MVP of the league. I had started all 26 games that season for the city of Pierrefonds and had 6 shutouts. The last couple of years I have played on the DFW Titans. It's a team that was comprised of players that work in the public safety field. Mostly Police and Fire Fighters. I have travelled and played in El Paso with them. And in leagues at the Plano Dr Pepper star centers.
Lately I started playing pick up hockey again and then was asked recently To be the starting goalie for the North Texas Guns and Hoses team that will represent the 16 county wide Metroplex area in new York City for the World Police and Fire Olympics. The World Police games are in New York this year to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Sept 11,2001. I will be in New York representing the North Texas Guns and Hoses and the Dallas Sheriffs Dept from Aug 26 to Sept 3, 2011.
I love working here with the diverse and interesting group of employees and like interacting with the civilians I meet and have met through this job. I literally grew up here at the sheriffs Dept. I am glad I have. I am proud of this job and this department. I have worked here 15 years of the 35 years I have been alive. I am also proud of the fact that I can count on a single hand the number of sick days I have used in 15 years.
